To receive a free assessment of your financial circumstances either contact us on 08000 481 778 or complete one of our financial questionnaires which can be obtained from us by writing to us, calling us or using the Contact Us section of this website.
The assessment enables us to review your financial circumstances and obtain an understanding of your current situation and the difficulties that you are experiencing. As part of the assessment we will consider all your options and make a recommendation to you on the most appropriate way forward. DebtMatters offers a wide range of practical ways to help you beat debt, such as an IVA or debt management plan, and all the help and advice that we provide is completely confidential.
If we think that we can help you then we will draw up a set of repayment proposals for you. These proposals will be based upon your own individual circumstances and what you can afford to pay. We will talk you through these proposals to ensure that you are happy with them. If we don't believe that we can help you, or if we think that your best option lies elsewhere, then we will say so... we are not in the business of wasting people's time.
We will send a copy of your proposals to each of your creditors and will commence negotiations with them to see if we can get the proposals agreed on your behalf. You remain under no obligation at this point and the worst that your creditors can do is reject your offer of payment. DebtMatters has an excellent track record of agreeing proposals for people, and around 9 out of every 10 proposals that we present to creditors are accepted.
Once your proposals have been agreed a standing order payment is set up for you to make your payments into your Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) account. We will supervise this for you and distribute your payments amongst your creditors. So long as you keep to the payment terms, as soon as you have made your final payment your arrangement is completed.
When the IVA is completed you will be issued with a completion certificate and will be released from all debts that are subject to the IVA.
